The Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam annually for recruitment to Group B and C posts in various central government ministries and departments. Candidates need a bachelor's degree, with age limits generally ranging from 18 to 32 years (varies by post). The selection process includes Tier 1 and Tier 2 computer-based examinations, covering general awareness, reasoning, mathematics, and English, with Tier 1 acting as a qualifying stage. 

Application Process: The 2026 notification is expected in March on ssc.gov.in.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

Age Limit: Generally 18–32 years (with relaxation for reserved categories).

Exam Pattern (Tier 1): 100 questions (200 marks) in 60 minutes: Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English.

Negative Marking: 

 marks for each wrong answer in Tier 1.

Salary (Pay Levels): Ranges from Level 4 (₹35,000–₹45,000) to Level 7 (₹55,000–₹65,000).
